Instructions in a small mixing bowl thoroughly combine the salt and baking soda. To use combine about 8 ounces of lukewarm water distilled. Combine the salt and baking soda in a mortar and pestle. Commercial and homemade rinses various nasal saline rinse kits are available commercially including the sinus rinse brand which contains pre mixed salt packages.

To complete the treatment mix six ounces of warm filtered water with 1 2 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide and 1 teaspoon of sea salt. Use water that s labeled distilled or sterile to prevent infections that can occur with other types of water. Salt to 5 dl. Prepare your neti pot solution.

Transfer to an airtight container. To make your own saline mixture mix 3 teaspoons of salt with 1 teaspoon of baking soda and store in a sterile airtight container. This is enough for one treatment. Mix together 3 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of baking soda add 1 tsp of this mixture into 1 cup of water and stir until the solids have dissolved using a neti pot ear bulb or saline rinse bottle.

A homemade solution works just as well. Use approximately 1 2 tsp per 8 oz of tepid water. Grind the mixture until very fine the finer the grain the faster it will dissolve. It is also easier to dissolve the salt in warm water.

How to use hydrogen peroxide and sea salt. Allow the salt to dissolve into the solution and insert the solution into a nasal sprayer or neti pot. Use 1 2 teaspoon of solution per 8 ounces of water in a neti pot. You don t need to buy a manufactured solution to use in a neti pot.

To make your own solution you need 1 ml salt to 1 dl. Mix 1 4 tablespoon of pure sea salt with 8 ounces of warm water. If the water is too cold or too warm you will experience mild discomfort. The water should be room temperature or just slightly warmer.

So rather than purchasing this solution from pharmaceutical stores you can make this nasal irrigation solution at home within a few minutes. Water which equals 1 tsp.
